7- Is there any way that I can listen to the songs while visiting other sites?
You can open additional windows in your Browser while you play your favorite song in the Piano Bar. In the File Menu there is an option to Open a New Window. You can shuttle back and forth by using the mouse or pressing Alt-Tab.
8 - Is there any way that I can play several songs in a row, without having to come back every time to select them one by one?
Yes! Now I have designed the main page in a way that a new window opens each time you select a song. So, you can go back to the main page and select several songs and they will play sequentially! Follow these simple steps:
A - Select a song in the Main Page - a new window will open with that song...
B - Go back to the Main Page by pressing Alt + Tab, or by clicking with your mouse on its tab in the task bar. That will take you back to the Main Page.
C - Go back to step A and select another song. Repeat as many times as you want.
9 - How can I send these pages to my friends?
- The easiest way is to send them the URL http://www.piano-bar.com and they can come here and enjoy all the songs they want. There is a form at the bottom of the Main Page that does that for you very easily and automatically!
- Another way is to use the "Send Page" option in the File menu of your browser. You just go to the page you want to send and select that option. A new message window will open up for you to send an e-mail to the person you want to send the page to. Just write their address and send in the usual manner. When they receive it, the song will begin playing automatically. That is a great way to send a "serenata" (love song) to a loved one!!!
10 - Can you notify me when you add more songs?
Sorry about that, also! My mailing list is so big and I am busy with other things that I am not able to do that.
11 - Can you play songs requested by us?
If I know it, I will certainly try to please you. But, please, don't offer to send me MIDIS, MPGs, cassetes or whatever of songs I don't know, for me to learn them and play them. I don't have the time to do that, and I like to play songs I already know, so I can play them with feeling.
12 - When will you be adding more songs?
That depends on my free time. Sometimes I add several songs in a week, and some times many weeks go by without me adding any other songs. I just can't tell. Sorry!
13 - Why don't you play merengues or salsa?
The Piano Bar is a place for romance and boheme. I try to play music that fits that category. Maybe later I'll make another site for other types of music. I'll let you know!
14 - Do you have a CD recording of those songs? Are you going to make one?
I have not recorded those songs. Many people are asking me to do it. I am seriously considering it. Maybe soon!
15 - Can I make a recording of these songs for my personal enjoyment? How can I do it?
If it is for personal use and enjoyment, I authorize you to record any or all of these songs (as far as my rights as performer allow me). Just plug the cables that go to your speaker to a tape recorder and record them as you normally do. If you have a keyboard, you can plug the keyboard through MIDI cables and have the sound come out from the keyboard. Plug your tape recorder to it and record as you normally do. The sound quality with this method should be somewhat better (the sounds of your keyboard).
I understand that there is a MIDI to WAV conversion program that would allow you to convert your MIDIS into CD's. It is for sale HERE (Note - I have not used it nor I am endorsing them).
16 - The piano sound I hear now is different from the sound I heard before. What happened?
I have not made any changes to my MIDIS and there is nothing I can do that causes this. So, the problem is in YOUR system. Check your MIDI setup, especially your MIDI device. Most probably you have several MIDI devices installed and assigned an inferior one to your MIDI player. Just change it. If you have Crescendo, right click in the console, select "options" from the pop up menu, then select "MIDI device" and select the best one from the list that appears.
17 - How can I support the Piano Bar?
The Piano Bar is Free for all and I intend to keep it this way, but I do have costs to cover, specially an annual license for copyrights that costs me $274. You can make a donation to help me defray the cost of that license using
or a Credit Card by just clicking below:
